CoFo Sans Pro Armenian

CoFo Sans Armenian extends the CoFo Sans family into the Armenian script through a careful study of proportion, rhythm and form. Rather than translating existing shapes directly, the design interprets the core principles of CoFo Sans within the logic of Armenian, creating a typeface that feels both cohesive and true to the script.

Particular attention was given to proportions in multilingual settings. Subtle adjustments to x-height, ascenders and descenders ensure that Armenian sits naturally alongside Latin, maintaining a consistent rhythm across languages. Open forms and balanced spacing preserve the characteristic texture and legibility of Armenian text.

The design balances slightly squarish structures with softer, rounded forms, adapting to the rhythm of Armenian. Optional flat terminals and rounded dots are available as stylistic sets, matching with Latin and Cyrillic. Another stylistic set option offers simplified uppercase baseline, creating a more minimalist look in all-caps settings.
