A font is not just a file, it’s the result of years (sometimes decades!) of hard work by a team of designers, engineers, consultants, lawyers, developers, and many others. You might be surprised by how many people stand behind your favorite fonts.
“But why can’t I just pirate your font?” you may ask.
Like movies, music, books, and software, fonts are protected by copyright. Using a font without a license can have consequences, from having to purchase the correct license retroactively to facing legal claims. What may seem like a small shortcut at first can become a much bigger issue later.
A license protects both of us: you can use the font safely in your work, while we can continue expanding our library and language support.
The first step is to determine where and how you plan to use the font. Depending on your project, you may need one or more licenses: a desktop license to install the font on your computer and use it in print; a web license to host the font on a website; a video license to use the typeface in videos; or a logotype license to use the typeface in a logo or trademark.
The right choice is not always straightforward, but we’re happy to help. Send us a message at [email protected], and we’ll guide you through the options.
Absolutely. Please email us at [email protected] and tell us a little about your project:
1. Which fonts and styles do you need?
2. Where will they be used—for example, on a website, in print, in a logo, in a video, on social media, or in an app?
3. How many people will be working with the fonts?
4. If you need a web license, what is your website’s average monthly traffic?
5. If you need a video license, where will the video be distributed?
6. If you need a social media license, what is the total audience size across your channels?
7. If your project doesn’t fit into a standard category, tell us a little about it.
8. Please remember to include your company details for invoicing.
If you don’t have all the answers yet, don’t worry—we’ll work them out together.
That’s completely possible. When placing an order through our website, you can list the Payer and the Licensee separately. The Payer pays for the license, while the Licensee receives the rights to use the font.
No. We consider the iOS and Android versions of the same application to be a single product. One App License covers both platforms.
Yes, we offer a 50% student discount. The fonts you purchase remain yours permanently, and you may continue using them commercially after graduation. If you only need a typeface for a student project, reach out to us—we’re happy to provide free font files for academic use.
Of course. All our fonts are available as free trials directly from our website. Before downloading them, please take a moment to review the Trial License Terms. Trial fonts are intended for testing, mockups, and internal evaluation only. If you would like to publish or distribute a project using the font, you’ll need a commercial license that covers your intended use.
We do not offer subscriptions, and there are no hidden recurring fees.
Desktop, Web, Social Media, and Logotype licenses are perpetual. You pay once and may continue using the font for as long as it remains protected by copyright.
Additional fees are required only if your usage exceeds the licensed limits—for example, if your website traffic increases or you need to install the font on additional computers.
The only exception is our Video License, which may include limitations on the duration or territory of use, depending on the project.
There is no need to buy a new license.
You only need to pay the difference between your current license tier and the new one. You can upgrade directly through your account on our website.
All of our fonts support a wide range of Latin- and Cyrillic-based languages.
Some families also support Arabic, Armenian, Greek, Hebrew, and additional writing systems.
We recommend checking the exact character set in the type tester on each font page or in the PDF specimen. If you need a particular language, script, or character, let us know—we’re always interested in expanding our fonts.
No. If all the text has been converted to outlines, neither your client nor the printer needs a font license. However, if they intend to edit the text or create new materials using the font, they will need their own license.
Yes, but only in static images. If the advertisement includes animation or motion graphics, you will need a Video License.
No. Ebooks, digital magazines, and other electronic publications require a dedicated E-Pub License. Please contact us at [email protected], and we’ll help you arrange the appropriate license.
Yes. We offer a Business License, which provides the broadest set of usage rights and has no limitations on the territory or duration of use.
Business Licenses are not available for purchase directly through our website. Please email us at [email protected], and we’ll prepare a custom quote based on your requirements.
If you purchase a license directly through our website, the font files and all related documents will become available in your account immediately.
If you complete your purchase by invoice, we will send the files to the email address you provided no later than seven days after payment has been received.
Please contact us at [email protected]. We’ll help you find an alternative payment method.
No. Our standard licenses do not allow you to modify the font software or the design of the typeface.
The only exception is our Logotype License. This license gives you the right to make a one-time modification to the letterforms in order to create a unique wordmark.
One important detail: a Logotype License does not include the font files and must be issued to the company that owns the logo, not to the designer creating it. To create the logo, you will also need a Desktop License, which allows you to install the font and use it during the design process.
The cost of a custom typeface depends on several factors:
— how many font styles are required;
— which languages the typeface needs to support;
— the license type and duration of exclusivity.
Send us a brief description of your project at [email protected], and we’ll be happy to prepare a detailed proposal.
There is also a fast and affordable alternative: customizing an existing typeface from our library. If you like one of our fonts but would like us to tailor it to your brand, we can do so more easily than developing a new typeface from scratch.
Our license agreements are the result of many years of experience and careful refinement, so we cannot revise them for individual purchases.
Any changes would require a custom contract and additional review by our legal team.
That said, we’re always happy to discuss any concerns. Feel free to contact us at [email protected], and we’ll do our best to find a solution.
