CoFo Robert Sans

CoFo Robert Sans is a different kind of utilitarian sans—one with a human touch. A blend of functionality and friendliness, the typeface is both down-to-earth and expressive. It challenges the idea of a neutral sans by using its serif counterpart, CoFo Robert, as a foundation for its design.

Sans serifs usually conform to the idea of rationality, an oversimplification of shapes that can look rather mechanical. Serif typefaces on the other hand, achieve neutrality through traditional forms, which are far from simple and soulless.

CoFo Robert Sans reconsiders the idea of what a universal grotesque can look like, if we wanted it to feel warm. Its special design features are subtle, but expressive: moderately visible contrast, balanced proportions, a softness in the curves. All these characteristics come together to infuse the typeface with energy, without compromising its functionality. With an extensive character set, including small caps, superscript and subscript letters and figures in both Latin and Cyrillic, CoFo Robert Sans is the friendly workhorse sans you always needed.
